The smaller of the three dormitories that PLF supports, the boys’ dormitory in the middle of Siem Reap, is a tranquil, resourceful home-away-from-home, currently housing four boys from the countryside.

Not only a roof over their heads.  Under their own direction the boys have pooled their skills from the countryside and have started their own vegetable and flower gardens.  They lead very busy lives in the city with working, attending classes and studying so it’s great to see them taking the initiative and finding the time to incorporate a little bit of home into their new daily lives.

The boys come from different provinces around Siem Reap.  Collectively they are all learning and continually progressing their personal development through vocational training, working as teachers, and going to high school or university.  The dormitory allows this chance at improvement and a better future that would otherwise be unavailable to them at home in the province.

PLF continually supports the dorm by covering rent, electricity and water payments, rice and a weekly budget for other types of food and has gladly supported the boys with seeds, and necessary tools to assist their new project.
