Here it is, the exciting, busy time of the year when everyone gears up for the start of school!
It costs $12 to send a student to school in Cambodia; uniform and stationery supplies. If you would like to assist “a” or “some” students to receive the education they so want and need, please help us out with a donation.
One of Ponheary’s many important sayings is “we should have fun while we work”. And that’s exactly what’s happening around the PLF office and Seven Candles Guest House at the moment.
The school stationery supplies have been delivered “enmasse”and the Ly family (plus a few helpers) are busy dividing the stationery up into packs for all of the 2800 students we support.
The family have been doing this activity for approximately 14 years and for the last 9 with PLFs support. It’s fun to see the whole family, from the youngest, Yutt, Yutt at age 5 through to the eldest all sitting on the floor in the Seven Candles Guest House reception area, joking, telling stories, singing and laughing while working for the rural students we support.
