There are so many students who are supported by Ponheary Ly Foundation, who come to attend the English class at Chey, as the result, the classes are increasing more and more.
In the past, the English class at Chey teaches only the primary students, however, the students in grade 7, 8, and 9 can join this program now. Last year, we have five English classes but on these days it increases more to about five more classes, totally we now have 10 classes of English. This is the developing of the English program. Before they join the class, the teachers test all of those students. After they send them to classes, teachers then separate them according to their knowledge. Not only the English classes but the Computer lab and Media classes also grow very fast.
Nowadays the English program at Chey is becoming bigger and bigger. More and more of those students are able to speak and learn with the foreigners who volunteers to teach as well. To react to this huge number of these students PLF tried to create more classes for supporting its students. All of these programs are smoothly running because we have good cooperation between teachers, the principal, and the students.
On 1st August 2013, we had the meeting and talked about these programs, especially the parents of those children who are joining that meeting too. This is good for meeting between teachers, principal, students, and their parents about how the Ponheary Ly Foundation supports the school and how far the English and Computer programs go. They are really proud about the entire project in Chey and their children can get the knowledge both English and technology. This is the great opportunity. From day to day, students who learn in Chey try to learn hard and get a lot of information and knowledge about foreign languages and technology.
In the future, we hope that all of these projects will improve more and more.
